My latest obsession

So my latest food obsession is snickers bars! It started with going to home depot with Jeff, and when we would check out I would get a snickers bar.. now its evolved into buying the bag of mini-bars to have at home.. Yum! We are doing well, I'm just getting more and more uncomfortable and having to pee like (seriously) every 5 minutes! But it will all be worth it in a few short months.. Jeff is almost done with the beadboard in Kayden's room, then we can get a dresser so I can put all her clothes away. I have washed them all, it was strange washing clothes so small! You sure can fit alot more in the washer. I will post a new progress picture soon..

A day in the sun..

We finally got a hot day last Sunday and the dogs and I got in the pool to cool off.. Norman decided it was a good idea to hide underneath his dog bed when he got too hot. I enjoyed floating in my pool, and getting some sun..

Just wanted to say thanks to my awesome cousin Becca for the wrap baby carrier! It is super comfy and I think it is going to work great! I tried it out with a stuffed bear for my baby, and Lucy decided she wanted to get the bear out! Hopefully she doesn't try to do that to Kayden.. :)

So sleepy..

I am sitting on the couch right now, and thinking I may have overdone it today.. This morning we went to some garage sales with Jeff's mom Melody, to see what kind of baby stuff we could find out there. We found some books and a few cute dresses, and I found a new end table that I'm pretty happy about. Then we stopped by Ikea to check out their furniture. Not impressed at all with their cribs, but they had a white dresser that we liked and may go back for. Lots of walking today though and my feet definitely are feeling it now! I'm after Jeff to give me a foot rub :) After that I think its off to bed for me. Jeff has been working on trim in Kayden's room since we got home. Excited to see it when its done! Now we just need to get some furniture to fill it up!

New 29 wk scan pictures

We got the opportunity to get another 4-D scan at my office this afternoon. Kayden decided to hide again and make it difficult to get images of her face. Apparently she likes to lay low, with her head on my left side. It is pretty amazing to see the technology that is available. This is way more advanced than even what my doctor's office offers. So cool! We tried me laying on my side, and shaking my belly to get her to move into a better position.. but each time she reverted back to the left lower side, curled in a ball! Too funny. I'm scared if she is this uncooperative now, before she is born!

29 week checkup

We went to the doctor today for my 29 week checkup. It was pretty uneventful, just all the normal stuff, weight, blood pressure, measuring me, etc. I go every two weeks now, until July when I start going every week. It's starting to go by really fast now, I know she will be here before we know it! Tomorrow night we have our first childbirth class. I'm looking forward to seeing Jeff with the fake belly on! :)

The Zoo!

We went to the Point Defiance Zoo yesterday. The weather was great, it was a nice day to be outside. It felt like we were the only ones there without a kid, well one that could look at the animals at least! The zoo is a great place to check out all the different brands of strollers. About 3/4 of the way through I was done walking! I get tired alot easier than normal walking longer distances lately. After the zoo we stopped at Babiesrus to look at a crib, I think it will be the one we get. Glad to finally know what we want! This is it-

The walruses were very entertaining. This was the youngest one, I can't remember her name now. The oldest one was ET, and he was the same age as me.

The penguins were just jumping in for a swim.

These birds were budgees, a small breed of parrot. They were all eating grass/bark, and then all the sudden they all flew together right towards me and Jeff! It was kinda freaky.

This monkey and elephant were enjoying the weather..

Trip to Wenatchee

Jeff, Brandon, the dogs and I all made the trip to mom's house in Wenatchee last weekend for their Apple Blossom festival. The weather was pretty nice on Sunday, and we spent some time by the pool. I desperately tried to get a bit of a tan, which seemed to work! Their dog Bella, loves to chase the ball in the water and we all had fun watching her. Norman was very interested, but didn't really want to get wet. He just liked to bark and run around the pool! Lucy is deathly afraid of splashing and water. She just did what she does best, hid on my chair.
