A trip to the park

I was feeling adventurous today, and decided to take Kayden and the dogs to Lk Wilderness Park. We didn't have Stroller strides today, so needed to get out for awhile. I wondered if I was crazy for trying to bring the dogs along, sometimes they are hard to manage on a leash, but putting Kayden in the carrier let me have both hands free to hold the leashes. It wasn't too difficult, I will do it again. We all enjoyed going for a walk around the park, and Norman enjoyed peeing on every tree/garbage can that he could get me to stop for.

When we got home Kayden took over the TV! I'm sure she will soon enough. Actually Jeff and I are sort of obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba.. the songs are pretty catchy! We listen to the CD during bath time..

I guess our new favorite thing to do is pose Kayden holding different funny things.. tonight it was the remote and rootbeer.

Links, a sucker and a fire

Kayden's new favorite toy is her links.. she grabs them and pulls them to her mouth. Actually she does that with just about everything these days.

Checking out her links..
Yum...
Trying to eat my sucker.
Got it! (Only for a quick second for the picture)
We had a fire last weekend, can't remember that last time we did that. It was nice.. Norman especially enjoyed sitting in front of it.
Just chillin by the fire..
My favorite picture from her 3 month photos.

Stroller Strides

Kayden and I joined a mom's workout group, Stroller Strides. This is our 2nd week. We go three mornings a week to the Lake Wilderness Lodge to work out with other moms and kids in strollers. Before today I had been carrying Kayden in her carrier because the first class she got upset in her stroller. Today the Lodge was closed for Veterans Day, so our workout was outside. I put her in the stroller with a warm blanket and hat, and she fell asleep about halfway through our hour workout. We did alot more walking today since we were outside, so I think that helped put her to sleep. I've really been enjoying getting up and moving in the morning. Yesterday we went to story time at the library which was fun. Its geared for kids under 2, they sing songs and rhymes and then read a short story. I think we will go again soon..

More bubbles

We did another round of bubble pics last night, and Jeff posted them on his site here.

Our weekend

We had a fun weekend with my Mom, Kendra, Kevin and Brandon. We celebrated Brandon's birthday on Saturday (somehow managed not to get a pic of him) with a trip to Southcenter and dinner at the Olive Garden. Gramma got Kayden the cutest new snow hat :) Now we just need a little snow!

Bubble bath!

Daddy put ALOT of bubbles in our bath tonight, but it ended up being really fun. Kayden kept trying to burrow her head down in them.. She kicks like crazy, I have to to turn her around so she doesn't kick me!

The zoo!

We went to the Woodland Park Zoo today. I thought they were having a pumpkin smashing event with animals, but I guess that was last weekend. We still had a great time though. Kayden did great. She got to ride facing forward in her carrier, and hardly made a peep the whole time she was in there. She slept on and off.. I carried her for awhile and my back and shoulders started hurting so Jeff took her.
Giraffes!
Our self portrait
Cool new car seat danglies. They sound like wind chimes. She was staring at them today..Jeff and Kayden doing the worm crawl... whatever that is!
Bear in front of the carousel - maybe we can ride next year!
Our little snow leopard!
Our little photographer!

Pretty purple berries

Lots of berries. I liked these ones with the leaves. Jeff has some more on his site here.
