A family walk

Last Saturday afternoon we went for a family walk on the Lake Wilderness Trail. It is my new favorite place to walk, the trail goes right along the lake. We walked to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone, and Kayden and the dogs even got a few bites.

Lucy decided to ride on the stroller for a bit. The dogs' stomaches got really muddy, so they got a bath when we got home.
All clean!

Sitting with the tulips

Kayden pulls my hair

8 month pictures

Here are some of Kayden's 8 month pictures. We took these on Easter Sunday when Mom was here visiting. I love this outfit, I need a reason for her to get dressed up sometime soon so she can wear it again!

The Little Farm at Windwater

Last Thursday Kayden and I went to a meetup at The Little Farm at Windwater in Auburn near Flaming Geyser State Park. It was so much fun! We saw and held baby bunnies, petted horses, goats, a donkey, and she got to sit on a horse! All for $3, can't beat that! We'll definitely be going back sometime soon!

Arrrrgh!

Softball season has started! Kayden has gone to our two games so far. We play on Monday nights. She has done pretty well, this week we brought her bumbo and lots of rice crackers, and she sat and watched the game and ate crackers. Our pitcher wears this pirate hat when he pitches (our team is the Pirates) so he let Kayden try it on for a picture. Here is to a winning season! Jeff is also playing on a Sunday night team in Kent, so Kayden and I are going to watch his games too whenever we can. Lots of softball games for this little girl! She got excited on Monday when everyone was cheering and yelling, it was fun to watch.

7 month pictures

I'm late with these, but here are some of her 7 month pictures.

Seahawks 5K

A few weekends ago we did a Seahawks 5K with our friends Jessica and Tyler. Kayden napped for most of the time then woke up to watch the seahawks band with Tyler!

Happy Birthday Jeff!

We celebrated Jeff's birthday with a bbq with the Stewart family. Kayden got to help blow out Daddy's candles and play on the deck with everyone.

First taste of doughnut

We went out for doughnuts for Jeff's birthday breakfast last Saturday. Kayden got her first taste of doughnut, she demolished it!! I was a little embarrassed when we left because the floor was covered with crumbs, we did our best to clean up. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Easter bunnies!

One of the moms in our play group bought all the kids bunny ears, so of course we had to take a group picture! Its always a challenge getting them all to look at the camera at the same time, but between four of us we can usually get a good one.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Last Friday we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival for Jeff's birthday weekend. We lucked out and got a sunny day! The tulips were in bloom and beautiful! We spent the afternoon walking through the fields and gardens at Roozengarde fields, then went to a salmon bbq that the Mt Vernon Kiwanis Club puts on every year in a park up there. It was a good dinner and nice to know we were helping them out. They said it is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and they do alot of work with babies and kids in that area.

We went back to the fields for sunset, and it was beautiful but cold!
Jeff's new favorite picture!
Playing with some dirt and trying to eat it! Yum..
