Test results

So I got my test results back, and good news, I do not have gestational diabetes.. yay. I was really hoping I didn't, because I definitely do not feel like being on a special diet right now! I also found out that my iron level is low, which could explain why I have been feeling extra tired the past few weeks. I guess that is fairly normal for around 20 weeks and after, the baby starts taking more iron that your body can produce. I got some iron supplements this weekend, so hopefully they will help. We are starting our childbirth class on May 14th. It is once a week and goes for 7 weeks. So by the time it's over we will only have a month left to go! Crazy! My friend at water aerobics gave me this book called Baby Bargains, I was reading it alot this weekend. It gives rating and reviews to all things baby, furniture, car seats, strollers, clothes, etc. While reading it, I realized it is the 5th edition, and they now make an 8th, so I'm going to pick up the new one today. Curious to see how it is different. We definitely need to start making some decisions on furniture and other big items..

It's pink!

We got the first coat of pink paint done yesterday. Amazing how painting with pink paint is so much more exciting than boring old white paint. Hopefully Kayden likes pink! :)

Painting!

We started painting this last weekend.. We decided on color #1, fairytale pink. Since the room is green now, we have to primer the walls first before we can paint them pink. Then we are going to do white beadboard around the bottom 3 feet of the room. It's a work in progress, but we have at least started! Now we just need to decide on furniture..

Me with my sweet painting mask. Made it a little hard to breathe though.

25 week checkup

We went in today for my 25 week checkup. I had my glucose screening, got to drink the yummy syrup. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, just sweet. Not eating for 4 hrs before was a little trickier, by the end I was ready for some food! I also got a rhogam shot, so two needles in one appointment. Guess I better get used to it. Needles don't really bother me too much since I've given blood so many times. Just trying to prepare for the giant one in my back! I guess at that point I probably won't care about the needle and will just want the drugs! :) Everything is looking good, and I scheduled all my appointments until my due date, July 29th. Hard to believe it is sneaking up on us so fast! We are hoping to paint her room soon, and get furniture too. I've been feeling her move alot lately, which is pretty cool. Can't wait to meet her :)

Trip to the park 4-5-09

These are from our trip to Lake Wilderness Park last weekend, when the weather was actually nice! Come back nice weather, please... I'm so tired of rain.

Don't mind my red allergy nose.. being pregnant seems to make my allergies worse when it is nice outside.

Norman didn't mind standing on the stump, but Lucy wouldn't stay up there for a picture!

24 weeks

We got to go upstairs at my work yesterday for a spur of the moment ultrasound. Every so often they need models to test new software. We got this cool 4-D picture. I'm amazed by how well you can see them! Because I'm not far enough along, it is not the best picture. They said to come back when I'm between 28-30 weeks, and there will be more fat in her face so we'll be able to see her better. Still pretty cool though!
We also got some videos!
